How long can I hire items for?

We normally hire our items for a 3 day period - so if your event takes place on a Saturday, we'll deliver it on the Friday and collect on either the Sunday or following Tuesday.  If you'd like to hire items for a longer period, please get in touch to discuss your requirements.


Can I come and collect the items I've hired?

Yes - you are welcome to come and collect your chosen items if you would prefer.  If you live within 10 miles of Elland, West Yorkshire we deliver for free.  Delivery or returns by Vintage Wedding Daze outside the 10 mile radius will be charged at £0.50p per mile. Delivery and collection charges may change at any given time. Please check with us when enquiring.


What happens if we break something?

We know that accidents happen, which is why we ask for a breakages deposit when you confirm your booking.  You can find out how much individual items cost by downloading our terms and conditions, but we'll confirm all charges with you when you place your booking, as some items are more costly for us to replace than others.


Can I choose the china myself?

Generally speaking, we will put together a selection for you.  We have enough china that we can work to your particular theme, but if you are looking for one specific item (a cake stand for instance, or items for a photoshoot), we can arrange a time for you to view our selection. 


What condition are your collections in?

We always try to ensure that items we hire are in top notch condition for their age.  Some of our china is over 50 years old, and therefore you should expect some slight wear to gilt and pattern on some pieces - in fact, we think it adds to the charm!  We do however avoid selecting any items to be used by your guests that are chipped, cracked or in poor condition.   We always ask our customers to check the items they have hired on delivery (or collection) to make sure all pieces are present and correct.

Do I have to return the china clean?

You have the option to take advantage of our washing up service at 10% of the hire charge cost. Due to the delicate nature of the china it must be washed by hand. We recommend you take the washing up service as this reduces the chance of breakages. If the washing up service is taken you can return the items unwashed (Where possible we appreciate if the items can be rinsed first before being boxed up). Should you wish to wash the items yourself we kindly ask that they are washed by hand and repacked as they were delivered.

What events do you cater for?

We cater for any event from a romantic dinner for two to a party extravaganza for one hundred guests. We cater for christenings, hen parties, corporate events, anniversary celebrations, photo shoots and charity events but most of all Weddings.

Can I hire matching china?

For smaller orders, up to eight place settings you can have matching items. For larger orders your china will be mismatching.

Are any of your items for sale?

Occasionally we do sell individual items to our customers - if you are interested in purchasing an item you have seen in our collection, please get in touch.  We also make and sell unique vintage cake stands, and can generally custom make to a theme or colour - these make lovely gifts to give to your guests after an event, or as a keepsake for members of a bridal party.
